First Look At Some ‘Sam and Twitch: The Writer’ Artwork And Pages
A few weeks ago we brought you a first look at Image’s new bi-weekly series revolving around the popular ‘Spawn’ supporting characters Sam and Twitch called ‘THE WRITER’. Since then not much has come up in the way of news about the title, but today the guys over at Broken Frontier interviewed Todd McFarlane himself and gave readers their first look at the upcoming series.

Todd McFarlane Productions has been hard at work on a brand new mini-series featuring everyone’s favorite sleuths from the Spawn universe.
Sam & Twitch: The Writer, starring NYC’s finest detective duo Sam & Twitch, is the creative child of Luca Blengino (story), Luca Erbetta (pencils), Fabio Bono (inks) and Filippo Rizzu (colors). This team has been crafting a unique crime fiction tale from the boroughs of the Big Apple that sees the detectives stupefied by a strange sequence of events.
Set in the dead of winter with a snowstorm looming, a routine homicide investigation has a literary twist. A suspected drug dealer is found dead, naked and with what seems to be the beginning of a story written all over his body. As the body count rises, the story of Sam & Twitch: The Writer unfolds.
Join this top-notch team of Italian artists and writer as they engage you in a tale — about a tale — that you don’t want to miss.
Sam & Twitch: The Writer will ship bi-weekly starting in May with the final two issues finishing this four issue series in June.

‘Predator vs. Planet of the Apes’ Comic Launching This Summer from Marvel
Worlds will collide in Predator vs. Planet of the Apes, a five-issue crossover comic series coming this summer from Marvel in collaboration with 20th Century Studios.
Written by Greg Pak (X-Treme X-Men) and drawn by Alan Robinson (New Fantastic Four), the first issue will be published on July 29.
After a rescue mission gone wrong, astronaut Arch becomes embedded in a hostile ape society where humans are subservient. But the hunters soon became the hunted when the apes find themselves being stalked by Predators. A three-way war is about to erupt between humans, apes, and Yautja — who will reign supreme?
“Planet of the Apes and Predator are two of the most iconic sci-fi series of all time — I’d be thrilled to work on either of them. But both of them together? Just incredible,” commented Pak.
“Both series do so much wild worldbuilding, grapple with a deeply organic and compelling kind of sci-fi, and take on massive and eternally relevant themes of violence and war. Both also absolutely go there, taking huge risks and leaps all the time. I can’t wait to show what we’re cooking up with Alan Robinson and the rest of the creative team.”
Predator vs. Planet of the Apes #1 will feature covers by Stonehouse, Ben Oliver, Skottie Young, Chris Campana, Carlos Magno, and Tim Seeley.
